No words. Just
some pictures, for now.
Last week, I
bought some things at the Shell Shop in Morro
Bay, a piece of coral, a sand dollar. I bought
fresh sardines at Giovanni's. Any excuse to
drive the short stretch to the beach. I don't
care about the ocean. It's the morro's, the
necklace of ancient lava cones called the Nine
Sisters that I pass along the way. I must
find a spot on a clear day that will allow me to
see all of them at once stretching to sea.
The Home Depot
and Costco in SLO are laughably empty. There is
no traffic. There is only the brown suede hills
and raptors in the sky.
Last night we
made spaghettini with walnut and sage pesto, and
homemade white peach gelato in our new machine
thingy.
